National Secretary
Alun Watkins has been working in the timber and furniture industries for over twenty five years, the last fifteen of which have been closely involved with environmental issues. Before joining PEFC as National Secretary in January 2010, he worked at FIRA (Furniture Industry Research Association) as an environmental management consultant offering advice and guidance to the furniture industry on all aspects of environmental compliance including chain of custody and managed the industry specific initiative Club Green. Alun was also instrumental in the development of the Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme (FISP) and chaired the Furniture Industry Environment Committee.
Communications
Hilary Khawam career has spanned the corporate and not for profit sectors over the past 25 years. Before joining PEFC in 2005, she served as Deputy CEO of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and has accumulated more than twelve years experience in the certification and eco-labelling sector. Hilary is Communications Director, responsible for PEFC’s marketing and communications activities in the UK.
Administration
Tracey Reeve previously worked in the insolvency sector for the best part of twenty years, first at PricewaterhouseCoopers and later at Kroll Limited. Her roles involved advising employees working for insolvent companies and ensuring they knew their rights under employment law. Over the past five years Tracey has worked as a tax administrator. She looks forward to learning more about how individuals and companies can become more environmentally responsible.
