The objectives, structure and basic procedures of PEFC UK Limited are defined in the 'Articles of Association' following a lengthy public consultation and revision process in 2010 undertaken with Blackadders Solicitors.

The Articles of Association were adopted by special resolution on 1st July, 2010. The previous memorandum and articles of association had been unchanged since 2000, and the Board of PEFC UK Ltd decided that in certain places the time was right to review and revise the articles as PEFC UK Ltd moves forward to reflect Company practices and the legal framework governing company law and administration (Companies Act 2006).
